ABS AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCES PURCHASE OF CONSOLIDATED HERD IMPROVEMENT SERVICES

 

Albury, NSW - July 15, 2005 -ABS Australia has today announced the acquisition of Consolidated Herd Improvement Services (CHIS) based in Kyabram, VIC.

"The purchase of CHIS represents a significant milestone in the continued development of our domestic strategy" stated Stephen Fried, General Manager of ABS Australia. "Ownership at the retail level allows us to work one step closer with the end users in this great industry and provide a broader range of products and services to benefit farmer profitability. Additionally this acquisition provides an opportunity to become more deeply involved in the development of a more robust, value added herd recording service."

All staff and services will be maintained through this acquisition and the expectation is that under this new ownership structure new opportunities will be available to employees and customers alike.
