ABS AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCES ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGESAlbury, NSW -August 10, 2005 - Steve Fried, General Manager of ABS Australia has announced several major changes to the organizational structure of the company. "There have been a variety of changes in our organization over the past 12 months and each new development creates the need to review our overall corporate structure and update it when necessary. As we have progressed through the process of acquiring CHIS and Warnett I have been spending a great deal of time assessing our business needs and personnel resources and am now prepared to announce some organizational changes designed to better position us for growth moving forward" stated Fried. Effective August 10, 2005 the following changes will become effective: Graeme Gillan has accepted the role of Sire Analyst. Graeme is undoubtedly one of the most well known and respected figures in the industry, and accepting this position ensures that ABS will continue to access and develop the best genetics in the country. Graeme’s role will also see him heavily involved in the promotion of ABS Australia products domestically and internationally with ABS staff and customers alike. Peter Williams will move from sire acquisition into a newly created role combining two extremely important departments within the organization as Young Sire and Mating Program Development Manager. Peter has extensive experience in both of these areas and this role will allow ABS to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness of the programs at the field level. Geoff will be responsible for all aspects of the ABS Australia dairy product line development, overseeing sire acquisition, young sire development, mating programs, product pricing and market positioning. Neil (Possum) Warnett will replace Geoff as Regional Sales Manager for the Northern Victoria region. Poss has proven his ability to develop and manage a profitable business and his addition to the ABS team allows the company to fully utilize his expertise in creating a dynamic business in this critical region. During this busy sales season Geoff and Poss will work closely to ensure uninterrupted management of our Northern Victoria operations through this transition period. The rapid growth in staff creates the need for dedicated Human Relations and Development Management. Shane McCarrey has an exceptional history in people and business management, and has accepted this newly developed role. As HR&D Manager, Shane will ensure a positive and proactive employee environment, responsible for day to day employee issues but also leading development and training courses as determined in cooperation with department managers.
