ABS AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCES PURCHASE OF HEYWOOD ABALBURY, NSW - December 22, 2004 - ABS Australia has today announced the acquisition of Heywood Artificial Breeders, owned by Max and Delma Brown and located in Heywood, Vic. "The purchase of Heywood AB represents a significant milestone in the implementation of our new strategic direction" stated Stephen Fried, General Manager of ABS Australia. "Ownership at the retail level allows us to work one step closer with the end users in this great industry and provide a broader range of products and services to benefit farmer profitability." The former owners and all staff will continue in their current roles at Heywood AB and the expectation is that under this new ownership structure the available products, systems and services will be enhanced to a more widespread customer base.
